I never imagined my first Formula 1 experience would leave me thinking about fashion as much as horsepower.
When Audi invited me to experience the brand’s exciting new Formula 1 venture, I expected fast cars, technical conversations and plenty of adrenaline. What I didn’t expect was to walk away fascinated by the sheer scale of what happens behind the scenes.

From the moment we arrived, it was clear this wasn’t simply about racing. It was about innovation, precision and the pursuit of excellence. Every detail had been considered, from the hospitality to the atmosphere, creating an experience that felt every bit as refined as the cars themselves.

One of the highlights was stepping inside the paddock. Cameras weren’t allowed, which somehow made the experience even more special. Watching hundreds of people quietly working together behind the scenes gave me an entirely new appreciation for Formula 1. Every engineer, technician and strategist contributes to something much bigger than the race itself. It’s a reminder that success rarely belongs to one person. It belongs to an entire team.

As someone completely new to the sport, I loved learning how much craftsmanship goes into every decision. Formula 1 isn’t simply about speed. It’s about design, innovation and relentless attention to detail, qualities that Audi has become known for across everything it creates.
Perhaps that’s why the day resonated with me so much.

Luxury today isn’t just about what we wear. It’s about appreciating exceptional design wherever we find it, whether that’s a beautifully tailored blazer, an elegant handbag or the engineering behind a Formula 1 car.

For the occasion, I leaned into effortless American summer style with Tommy Hilfiger, a brand that always feels right for the British social season. There’s something timeless about crisp blue and white pinstripes paired with tailored white shorts. It’s polished without trying too hard, classic yet relaxed enough for long summer afternoons.

I finished the look with black Tommy Hilfiger accessories, including my current favourite summer bag. It’s one of those pieces that works with everything, proving that sometimes the simplest accessories become the hardest working items in your wardrobe.

As the day unfolded between conversations, incredible food, flowing wine and a closer look at Audi’s ambitious future in Formula 1, I realised something.
You don’t need to be a lifelong motorsport fan to appreciate this world.
You simply need to appreciate excellence.

Whether that’s exceptional engineering, timeless fashion or the people working tirelessly behind the scenes to create something extraordinary, there is so much more to Formula 1 than meets the eye.

If this was my first experience, I can only imagine what’s still to come.
And I, for one, can’t wait to watch Audi’s next chapter unfold.
