The Perfect Soft Red Lip: Valentino 410A

For a polished, elevated lip, I’ve been using the Valentino Spike lipstick in shade 410A “On Top of the World,” a warm-toned red that flatters a wide range of skin tones. The formula has a soft matte finish, meaning it gives the look of a matte lip without the dryness, making it more comfortable for all-day wear. If you want to play around with a bold red lip but prefer a softer, more wearable approach, this is the perfect shade, it’s not overly bright or harsh, making it much easier to ease into. For best results, I start by lining the lips with Rimmel Spice 110, slightly overlining at the cupid’s bow and outer corners to add subtle definition and fullness. To balance the bold lip, I add a touch of Fenty Beauty blush in Baked Peach, which brings warmth back into the complexion and keeps the overall look cohesive rather than overpowering.
