There are very few places where I could happily lose several hours, but the Tommy Hilfiger Archives in Queens, New York, is definitely one of them. Walking into the archives felt like stepping inside the history of American fashion. I was completely in my element, surrounded by incredible pieces from across the decades, iconic runway collections and looks that have become part of fashion history.
From archive runway pieces to unforgettable celebrity moments, including looks worn by some of the biggest names in fashion and entertainment, there was so much to discover. Seeing the Met Gala looks up close, from Zendaya to Lady Gaga and Gigi Hadid, was such a highlight.
And, of course, I couldn’t visit the archives without dressing the part.
I wore a beautiful navy Tommy Hilfiger dress with a classic Tommy knit casually thrown over my shoulders, finished with the American Icon Mini Canvas Bag. It felt very fitting to be wearing Tommy while surrounded by decades of Tommy.
What I loved most was seeing the evolution of the brand up close. The clothes, the runway moments and those instantly recognisable American codes really brought the history of Tommy Hilfiger to life.
Come with me inside the archives with me and see some of the incredible pieces for yourself.
Honestly, for a fashion girl in New York, it was a dream.
