A New York Dream with TOMMY HILFIGER

There are certain invitations that make you stop for a second, and this was definitely one of them.

When Tommy Hilfiger invited me to experience an evening with the New York Yankees, I genuinely had one of those “is this real?” moments. As someone who has always been fascinated by American culture, from the fashion to the food and, of course, the sport, this felt like ticking off a huge bucket-list moment.

Even better, I got to meet Tommy Hilfiger himself.

Growing up, Tommy Hilfiger was one of those iconic American brands that represented effortless, classic style. Standing there chatting with Tommy himself while watching one of the world’s most famous baseball teams play in New York felt incredibly surreal. It was one of those moments where you quietly remind yourself just how far life can take you.

I also met Peter Crouch, which was another unexpected highlight of the evening. Between meeting two icons and soaking up the electric atmosphere inside Yankee Stadium, it really was a night I’ll never forget.

What I Wore

For the event, I wore the Tommy Hilfiger Montego Wool Blend Leather Varsity Jacket, paired with a denim mini skirt, a simple white tank top, the Soft Suede Crossbody Bag in brown and classic white court heels.

The varsity jacket was the hero piece of the look. Inspired by traditional American collegiate style, it felt timeless yet modern, adding the perfect finishing touch while still allowing the rest of the outfit to feel effortless.

The American Experience

One of my favourite parts of travelling is immersing myself in local culture, and this evening delivered exactly that.

From classic American stadium food to experiencing my first New York Yankees game, every part of the night felt authentically American. The atmosphere was unlike anything I’ve experienced before. The passion from the fans, the traditions, the music and the food all made me understand why baseball is such an important part of American culture.

I have to admit, my family were incredibly jealous when they saw where I was. Experiencing one of New York’s most iconic sporting events had been a dream of mine for years, so finally being there felt incredibly special.

One to Remember

Fashion has taken me to some extraordinary places over the years, but evenings like this remind me why I love what I do.

To be invited by Tommy Hilfiger, meet Tommy himself, experience one of America’s most iconic sporting institutions and spend the evening surrounded by incredible people was an absolute privilege.

It’s a memory I’ll treasure for a very long time and one that made me fall in love with New York just that little bit more.
